The significant presentation schedule for D23 Expo 2015 has been released by Walt Disney Studios. Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger will host the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, which will also feature Disney Animation and Pixar presentations as well as live action films from Walt Disney Studios (which includes Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm). This year, Parks Chairman Bob Chapek will conduct a presentation for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. After the jump, you can see the complete D23 Expo 2015 programme.
It is significant that Marvel is included in the live-action presentation given that the comic book company will be missing San Diego Comic-Con International in July for the first time ever.
Since Walt Disney Imagineering did not exhibit at the previous D23 Expo, many fans are hoping for some major Shanghai Disney news as well as potential Marvel and Star Wars park announcements for the US parks.
Additionally noteworthy is the fact that Disney will not be hosting the major presentations in the Anaheim Conference Center arena, as they have in prior iterations of the fan convention. Instead, “Hall D23,” a brand-new 7,500-seat auditorium in Hall D of the Anaheim Convention Center, will host the key presentations. Compared to the previous Arena configuration, this space can accommodate a lot more visitors.
