We didn’t learn about Jennifer Connelly’s presence in Spider-Man: Homecoming until the first movie showings because she was a late addition to the cast. Even though, several reporters who had actually watched the movie weren’t even aware of her appearance when the whole cast list was released with the junket press notes. Her role isn’t really surprising; rather, it’s simply a little obscure—an easter egg, if you will. I asked producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal about Connelly’s inclusion in the movie last week when we spoke. Here’s why the casting of Jennifer Connelly in Spider-Man Homecoming is amusing.
Jennifer Connelly plays Peter Parker’s voice within the sophisticated Spider-Man suit that Tony Stark designed for him in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Because of this, viewers of the movie might not even notice her presence. I questioned Feige and Pascal about the casting at the junket, and they gave me the lowdown on the Spider-Man: Homecoming easter egg.
SCIRETTA, Peter Can you discuss about casting Jennifer Connelly as the “Suit Lady”? I don’t believe I’ve heard you mention her anywhere before.
Kevin Feige: Peter, congratulations. Two days have passed since I began this.

Not a single individual has said such to us.
Kevin: Nobody has yet to ask that.
Amy:Whoa. What a tiny moron that is.
Kevin: They had this idea that developed during post-production that he would communicate with his suit, and we liked the notion that Tony had given Peter’s suit a feminine voice. In fact, everything happened fairly rapidly. We were discussing potential candidates. She then reappeared for a further two or three reasons. She is a fantastic performer and is capable of doing anything. Two, she appears in some of the iconic 1980s movies that served as inspiration for us. She is married to Jarvis, which is third and most meta.
Amy:Right. So, that’s pretty fantastic.
Peter: That’s fantastic. I had no idea there was a relationship.
Amy: No one has noticed it.
