The Marvel Cinematic Universe is still expanding astronomically, and Marvel Studios is now more powerful than ever, so Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has a lot to be pleased of. However, there is one aspect of the MCU that Feige regrets: Thor’s dyed eyebrows in the first Thor movie.
What one aspect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would you change if you could? Although I have a few options of my own, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, has just one answer for this dilemma: Thor’s eyebrows.
As you may remember, in the first Thor movie, Chris Hemsworth had bright blonde, nearly white coloured eyebrows. Here is a picture for your reference.

Oh my God, what is happening? Why would you harm the lovely Chris Hemsworth in this way?
In an interview with Uproxx, Feige declared that if he had to recreate the Marvel Cinematic Universe from scratch, he would absolutely alter the eyebrows.
“I’ll tell you one specific example I just thought of today and I laugh at it. Definitively, the one thing I would definitely do differently if I had to do it over again, is we would not have dyed Chris Hemsworth’s eyebrows blonde in the first Thor. Because we were like, Thor is blonde! He has to be blonde! And Hemsworth was great and awesome and pulled it off, but there are a couple of shots I watch and I’m like, oh my God, that poor guy, we made him freaking dye his eyebrows! That’s ridiculous! And I can laugh about it now because Hemsworth is Thor and he doesn’t need long hair, or a cape, or a hammer, or two eyeballs to be Thor.”
The fact that this seems to be Feige’s only regret is quite intriguing. He even has no regrets about Iron Man 2! Just the coloured brows of Thor. I should also note that Hemsworth failed to get it off. His performance was excellent, but his really brilliant brows weren’t so great. We’re all better off because the MCU realised its mistake and stopped colouring Hemsworth’s eyebrows in later films.
Feige stated that he occasionally takes a look back at the MCU movies and “See where we had a choice to make at a fork in the road in development, editorial, or visual effects. And it appears to the world that it functions. However, we are aware of three further variants that, boy, might have been much better if we had managed to make them function. But in the end, it doesn’t really matter because the only thing that counts is how it ends.”
This Friday’s release of Avengers: Infinity War will feature Thor without eyebrow dye.
