Today’s Hasbro PulseCon got out with the introduction of new toys from franchises including “Power Rangers” and “Transformers,” but fans were most anticipating seeing collectibles from the “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian.”
The second season of “The Mandalorian” served as the inspiration for a number of new “Star Wars” Black Series figures, including the handsome devil Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth, dressed in Boba Fett’s armour. In relation to that, there is an official Bill Burr action figure that depicts the comedian as Migs Mayfeld as a cloaked Boba Fett before he receives his armour back. Mando himself receives two new figurines in the Black Series and Vintage Collection, along with ice spiders, because an announcement wouldn’t be complete without them. Additionally, a Nevarro cantina playset for the Vintage Collection was created in honour of “The Mandalorian’s” season one conclusion. See them all in the list below.
Cobb Vanth
One of the greatest new characters we’ve encountered in “The Mandalorian” is Cobb Vanth, played by Timothy Olyphant. It’s not just that he’s wearing Boba Fett gear; it’s also the fact that he acts like a traditional sheriff trying to uphold the morals of his small hamlet in the midst of the desert. This figurine looks sick as hell and features a wonderful sculpt of Timothy Olyphant with his silver hair. We can only hope that Cobb Vanth will appear again in “The Mandalorian” because he might prove to be a valuable friend in the future.
At Hasbro Pulse, Cobb Vanth will be available for pre-order at 5:00 PM ET.
Boba Fett (Tython) and Migs Mayfeld
Boba Fett is still attempting to regain possession of his armour when he first shows up in “The Mandalorian.” He is currently sneaking around in a large brown cloak while armed with a range of weapons to help him eliminate any potential obstructions. Boba Fett is still a formidable warrior even without the Mandalorian armour, and his exposed bald head and burned head may make him even more so.
Migs Mayfeld, a former sniper in the Imperial Army who became a mercenary, is another character from “The Mandalorian’s” second season. This Migs Mayfeld is the one who poses as a Juggernaut Pilot in an Imperial facility on Morak while going undercover with The Mandalorian. To be quite honest, I’m a little upset that Migs Mayfeld from “The Mandalorianfirst “‘s season won’t be appearing. That’s probably because a brand-new body sculpt would be necessary when this one can serve as a stand-in for a future figure that will include Din Djarin wearing the same disguise. As a result, Hasbro accomplished two goals with one body shape. Just cross our fingers that a legitimate Migs Mayfeld figurine will appear in the future.
Boba Fett will be released in the summer of 2022, and Migs Mayfeld can be pre-ordered at 5:00 PM ET today on Hasbro Pulse.
Nevarro Cantina Playset
The Nevarro Cantina playset from the first season of “The Mandalorian,” where Mando and his companions made their final stand against Moff Gideon and his army of Death Troopers and Stormtroopers, will be available in the Vintage Collection. Even a Death Trooper figure to add to your collection is included with this playset. Mando and IG-11, however, must be purchased individually. Also apparent is the absence of Cara Dune, and we all know why.
At Hasbro Pulse, the playset will be available for pre-order at 5:00 PM ET today.
The Mandalorian and Ice Spiders
Finally, new iterations of Mando and Grogu inspired by their stay in the icy land of Maldo Kreis are coming to both the Black Series and Vintage Collection. They will be joined by some ice spiders, and each one will give Grogu a tiny egg to eat. It’s preferable than him continuing to devour the Frog Lady’s eggs. I’m not sure how many copies of The Mandalorian we actually need, but you can bet that fans will buy them up because it’s the only way to get those ice spiders. The Vintage Collection model will only be available at Walmart, while the Black Series version will only be available at Target. Both will be offered in the spring of 2022.
