The “One Piece” franchise spans over 25 years and began in July 1997 with Eiichiro Oda’s Weekly Sh nen Jump manga before receiving a riotous anime adaptation from Toei Animation. The manga series is renowned for shattering the record for the most printed comic books by a single author in the world. The Straw Hat group is shown in “One Piece,” led by Monkey D. Luffy (Colleen Clinkenbeard), who has amazing stretchable powers after eating a Devil Fruit. In order to seize the King of the Pirates throne and locate the fabled One Piece treasure, Luffy goes on a protracted journey.
One Piece is currently heading into its final arc.
just as you began to believe that the journey might last forever on the vast sea. Another of its theatrically released films, “One Piece Film: Red,” celebrates the 1000th anime episode and heralds the conclusion.
Uta
Fans were given an exclusive first peek at the English dub trailer where Luffy reunites with his boyhood buddy, singer Uta, at the Toei Animation and Crunchyroll presentation at New York Comic Con (Amanda Lee). Here is what we discovered after the English dub cast and members of the Japanese crew gathered at the panel to uncork the informational treasure chest.
Luffy is a mystery, says Nami’s voice actress Luci Christian, so learning about his background through his reunion with Uta, a childhood buddy, is fascinating in and of itself. “Someone questioned the purpose of Luffy’s search for a musician in episode 3. As of right now, “Ian Sinclair, Brook’s voice, said.
Colleen Clinkenbeard revealed that Uta symbolises what is happening in the “One Piece” universe, where “there are nice pirates and bad pirates,” without giving much away. Where Uta enters the picture is in how the world is impacted by the difference between good and bad pirates.
“In a lot of the ‘One Piece’ movies, there’re generally gruff villain dudes. And [Oda] wanted to give an important role to a female lead. And we thought we should make this lead female character sing, because Oda-sensei is really into music so I thought that would be a really good combination. Lo and behold, he was really into the idea and he was very involved in the movie and took a personal approach to this.”
Writing Uta served as the starting point for the director Goro Taniguchi to take this movie in a different path from the previous major motion pictures:
The moderator then suggested the song “Genesis,” which is currently performing on Japan’s top charts.
Shanks is in this one
According to producer Hiroaki Shibata, there will be seven vocal songs, and Oda personally selected all of the composers: “They would talk to Oda-san, and he would give us input. It’s safe to say that every song in this movie carries an Oda stamp.”
Knowing Uta gives you access to Red-Haired Shanks, a key character who served as Luffy’s mentor and motive for ascending to the position of Pirate King. The fact that he is, in fact, Uta’s father, is a significant surprise. Executive producer Shinji Shimizu claimed that as the script was written, it became clear that they would had to include Shanks. “Shanks kept coming into view throughout [the work]. Without Shanks, there was no possible means to enter [Uta]. We must be very careful how we approach Shanks since he is a very significant character to Oda-san. Go for it, Oda said.”
“Luffy is very different in this film. He doesn’t fight as much. So I hope everyone can see the film and understand why. Luffy does not throw a punch. But I’ve been known to lie too. So I’ve been told from Oda-sensei that I had a Devil Fruit that’s blabber blabber [lies]. So don’t ask me any more questions. I’m going to put you under arrest.”
Shimizu also disclosed—or perhaps lied—that
This may or may not be in opposition to Christopher R. Sabat’s teasing comment that there is a lot of butt-kicking in the role of aspiring Greatest Swordsman Zoro.
Regarding the destination, Shimizu stated: “When it [the finale] arrives, “One Piece” will come to an end. I’m not sure if it will be 3 years, 5 years, or 10 years. However, Shanks’ presence [in this film] says volumes.”
