The Big Clue Everyone Missed Early On In All Of Us Are Dead Season 1

For very good reasons, the Korean zombie thriller “All Of Us Are Dead” debuted on Netflix as the fifth most-watched non-English series in the streaming giant’s history. The first season of “All Of Us Are Dead,” which had 12 action-packed hours of entertainment and was released on January 28, 2022, was a mixture of a coming-of-age love drama and a zombie apocalypse survivor story. When a zombie virus epidemic traps a group of kids in their high school, the students are left at ground zero, abandoned by the government, and on their own to live with their own abilities and resources. High school is challenging enough without having to witness your pals mutate into carnivorous monsters or, worse still, slaughter those same friends to survive.

In order to provide Mr. Lee’s tormented son Jin-sun a medical means of converting fear into wrath and aggressiveness and inspiring him to retaliate against those who injure him, Mr. Lee devised the Jonas virus, which was named after philosopher Hans Jonas. Mr. Lee is a brilliant scientist turned schoolteacher. Unfortunately, the virus evolved into mania and bloodlust, setting in motion the circumstances that would result in a zombie epidemic. The Jonas virus can affect anyone, turning them into zombies or asymptomatic “hambies” (half-human, half-zombies). Everyone, that is, excluding Nam On-jo (Park Ji-hoo).

What is Nam On-jo’s Zombie Status?

    Netflix

The majority of those who contract the Jonas virus mutate into uncontrollable zombies who only act out of wrath and devastation, while those who become hambies can learn to restrain their zombie tendencies and pass for human. Although it’s an uncommon outcome of the infection, it is possible. Kim Hyeon-ju (Jung Yi-seo) begins acting out, spreading the Jonas virus, and infecting the students, instructors, and nurses attempting to assist her after being bitten by an infected hamster, being imprisoned for days, and finally being transferred to the school hospital. We then observe Nam On-father jo’s asking her if she’s alright as she holds her bandaged wrist, leading us to believe that she was bitten during the outbreak.

Nam On-jo doesn’t exhibit any symptoms of a zombie infection, sensitivity to tones at a frequency of 24 hertz, or any other certain indications that she is a hambie or a full-blown zombie. No one checks to make sure On-jo isn’t infected because she is scratched prior to the mayhem breaking out and her bandaged wrist is concealed beneath the sweater. There were obviously more important things to worry about than worrying about On-asymptomatic jo’s wound while the entire school saw their peers turn into bloodthirsty fury monsters because this all occurs just before the outbreak turns into a full-on epidemic.

    ‘Twas Only A Scratch

    Netflix

Students Yoon Gwi-nam and Choi Nam-ra, who sustain terrible wounds but eventually recover, have demonstrated that those who become hambies possess regenerative ability. Because of this, many people think Nam On-jo was probably able to cure her own wounds. It’s a fantastic theory, however if viewers revisit the incident Finally turning into a zombie, Kim Hyeon-ju starts attacking everyone in her vicinity. While snapping at Nam On-jo, she refrains from biting her. Hyeon-ju snaps at On-jo, and Professor Park Sun-hwa notices. He asks whether she’s alright, but she only nods while clutching her wrist. Lee Cheong-san asks On-jo if she was bitten shortly after her father, a paramedic, has bandaged the wound; On-jo responds that it is merely a scratch.

No blood exchanged hands between the two women, suggesting that On-jo just received a scratch. However, the school nurse was actually bitten by Hyeon-ju and turned into the first zombie, starting a chain reaction of infection that spread to the remainder of Hyosan High. Having said that, a zombie charges at On-jo at the end of the first episode before screaming in her face and sniffing her. Did this zombie feel anything no one else did because the zombies don’t fight each other?

Although it appears that the scratch theory has the most support, anything could alter in “All Of Us Are Deadupcoming “‘s seasons. We already know that the biochemistry of the host can cause the Jonas virus to mutate and develop into distinct strains. On-jo might turn out to be some type of “super hambie” in the upcoming season and cause even more zombie havoc. It’s difficult to determine the exact capabilities of the Jonas virus at this time. But On-jo might potentially be the source of a treatment if she has remained an asymptomatic host the entire time.
