The newest Marvel spectacular, “Eternals,” is currently playing in theatres. The movie, which has become one of the most critically divided MCU films thus far, is directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao. Whether or not the reviews are mediocre, the fact that this is a Marvel production guarantees a strong opening weekend. This implies that viewers can leave with some unanswered inquiries. Where have I heard the voice of Kro previously, for example? The film initially presents Kro as the ultimate bad guy since he is the head of the Deviants, the hideous creatures that are the Eternals’ sworn adversaries. The character ultimately plays a little role in the film’s elaborate plot, but, in the end. However, if you didn’t care to read the movie’s end credits while you were waiting for the post-credit sequences and you were wondering who the hell gave the character’s voice, I am here to help. So who is Kro’s voice actor?
It’s Bill Skarsg rd!
Yes, Bill Skarsg rd performs the role of Kro. After killing one of the Eternals in the movie, Kro develops sentience and begins actively seeking out the heroes. And after that, he simply sort of recedes into the background of the narrative. Skarsg rd doesn’t even have many lines, therefore one must wonder why he was chosen for the role. Marvel also hired the legendary Carrie Coon for a little voice part in “Avengers: Infinity War,” so I suppose this is just something they do.
Anyway, Kro appears as follows in the comics:
And as you can see from the picture at the top of this article, Kro doesn’t actually look like that in the movie. Which is a tremendous letdown because the movie character would have looked way cooler in a chic cape and trendy sunglasses. I guess! The comic book adaptation of Kro is described as follows:
Kro is a warlord, dictatorm and general to the Deviants; Deviants being an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created human life on Earth instigated by the Celestials. They were created to wage war against their counterparts, the Eternals. He is more than 100,000 years old and secretly an immortal-shapeshifter closer to the Eternals then his own kind, forcing him to hide his powers from his people. Over the centuries he has been mistaken to be the Olympian Pluto, the Devil, and many other mythological figures. He is the secret lover of Thena and because of this the sometimes became a reluctant ally of the Eternals.
Sadly, most of this was cut from the final cut of the film. I guess! So there’s that. At least there are now two Skarsg rds in the MCU.
